For this publication, I asked my classmates to share their top 10 favorite albums. The right-hand pages display the original album covers, while the left-hand pages feature my reinterpretations. I specifically asked for a top 10 to give myself some flexibility in selecting one album per classmate that matched their portrait the best. The results were intriguing — for some classmates, the mood of the album covers surprisingly resonated with the atmosphere of their photos.
This publication was an open-ended assignment in my third bachelor’s year. The only requirement was that we start with photos of our classmates, taken using mobile apps. This explains the unusual nature of the images.
The project gave me the opportunity to get to know my classmates better through music — a medium that holds great significance for me.
